Do to work and the new baby i must trim down racing a bit so i am sticking with what i love pain and distance. My 2009 plans are as follows.

>morden marathon
>red ass( if they have )
>bring a freind
>reach the beach
>muddy waters
>blunder 100(This one dishes out the pain my eye vision was burry when i got home for 2 hours
>alter ego marathon
>fall classic marathon
>xc8
la ruta de los conquistadores(already in the planning stages. They are serving up 5 stages of pain for 2009.)
I think that is it more km's but less events.

Come On!... use BDN as a warm up for Morden!! Just come and ride it!

I do see what you are saying with the time/events, and you do have killer enduro..

I'll see you at lots of those anyways!! xc8 rocked last year.

I wish i could have made xc8 last year i was getting so tapped by the end of the season.I really had to push my self at the fall classic i just wan't to be done racing for a while.

Cory! I did not even know you had a blog. Great to see you plan to race this year at all the interesting and painful stuff. I would definitely miss your elbows on every climb. Blunder 100 is a go, but Red Ass is going to alternate years with B2B. I hope you have been training, but that might be hard with a little one. I remember those loooooooooong nights.

I actually think after this year, I may do more marathon type races as well, (more bang per drive/day) and if you are going to La Ruta.... that is something!

I know what it is like with little ones also, it lost me a few years, but it was worth it!

Good luck, see you out there!

No redass,i am sad i truly loved this race.I have been training but not as many hours as some of you guys.I like to run outside when it is the coldest and always at night i find it relaxing, put the tunes on and go.I ride the indoor trainer which i don't mind i like to keep these workouts short and intense and i also snowshoe.I find birch a great place to snowshoe i just stay off the groomed trails.

I think it is cool that you guys share your training with each other.I will try to post some as well i have been a slack blogger.

I would never trade those early years for anything! Keep it up Cory and do what you can, when you can. I for one, will be very interested in reading your blogs.

Hey Corey - when you head to Birch on the showshoes give me a call and I'll come out with skies. Unless you snowshoe out there, play around a bit, and then snowshoe back. Not really into that. Unless I can draft behind you in my "happy place".
